A rewarding night for Tír Conaill Harps

TÍR CONAILL Harps GFC enjoyed a fantastic end of season shindig recently to celebrate their Men’s and Ladies teams in Malones Bar in Glasgow.

The event afforded the Glasgow side the opportunity to present their annual awards as well as announcing a Hall of Fame induction (above).

Beginning with the Ladies, the Coaches' Player of the Year went to Jess Doherty. The Most Improved Player of the Year was awarded to Colette Carr. Jess Doherty made it a double by winning Players’ Player of the Year, while Young Player of the Year went to Eireann McGrory.

On the Men’s front, Coaches' Player of the Year went to Ethan Friel. The Most Improved Player award was won by Matthew Manison. Players' Player of the Year was named as Phil Lambert, while Anthony Brady took the John Porter Volunteer of the Year Award. Outgoing Men’s Manager, Gerry Gavan, was inducted into the Harps’ Hall of Fame on the evening too.

“A great night was had by all,” a Harps spokesperson said. “Thank you to all who came along and a huge thank you to Malones for creating a special night and for your

continued support of Tír Conaill Harps through the years. It is greatly appreciated.

“Congratulations to all the players and coaches who won an award on the night and a special thank you to Gerry Gavan who steps down as Men’s Manager. A great servant to the club and Tír Conaill Harps will be forever grateful for everything he gave while in post. A true legend who has now been inducted to the Tír Conaill Harps Hall of Fame.”
